I read "The Trojan Women" yesterday for the first time. *sniffle* So sad and depressing, and oh my gosh after reading Homer it is such a contrast. I actually found it quite shocking. So anti-war (go Euripides!) No attempts to paint the horrors of war in glory - there's no glory here at all. It's all very very human... and I think that's what I loved about it.
(It's just sad that now, 2000 years later, despite so much anti-war spirit throughout the ages, the world still hasn't learned to stop fighting. :P)
Um, so, I just wanted to post something. Yes... any thoughts? Etc.? ^_^
